Round Island Lighthouse
Round Island , Michigan - Built in 1896
Round Island Lighthouse is probably the most viewed lighthouse
in Michigan. Every summer ferries bound for Mackinac Island
pass by the lighthouse everyday. The lighthouse was
automated in 1924 and then abandoned in the late 1940's.
Today the lighthouse has been restored and once again
serves as an active navigational aid.
